About this program
The Specialty Crop Block Grant Program funds projects that enhance the competitiveness of Puerto Rico specialty crops, including fruits, vegetables, horticulture, floriculture, nursery crops, and related food system projects.
Eligibility
Eligible organizations, producer groups, nonprofits, institutions, and public entities with projects benefiting the specialty crop industry in Puerto Rico rather than a single business only.
Requirements
- Apply through the Puerto Rico Department of Agriculture during open cycles
- Submit project narrative, budget, measurable outcomes, specialty crop benefit, and organization information
- Meet USDA SCBGP reporting, procurement, and eligible cost requirements
