About this program
The Kentucky Business Investment Program is a Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority incentive for companies that locate or expand operations in Kentucky, create jobs, and make capital investment. Approved companies may recover eligible project costs through corporate income tax credits and wage assessments after meeting job, wage, benefit, investment, and performance requirements.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are companies locating or expanding eligible operations in Kentucky, including manufacturing, agribusiness, nonretail service or technology, headquarters, alternative fuel, tourism attraction, and similar qualifying activities.
Requirements
- Company must locate or expand an eligible business operation in Kentucky.
- Project must create the required number of new full-time jobs.
- Project must meet applicable wage and employee benefit requirements.
