About this program
The North Dakota Development Fund provides flexible gap financing to new or expanding primary sector businesses in North Dakota through direct loans, participation loans, subordinated debt, and equity investments. Funds may be used for working capital, real property, equipment, facility expansion, and inventory, but not to refinance existing debt. Applications are reviewed first come, first served, and NDDF financing may be up to $3 million with a target investment of about 25% of the total project or round.
Eligibility
New or expanding North Dakota primary sector businesses with feasible projects and a reasonable chance of success.
Requirements
- Business must be a North Dakota primary sector business.
- Project must be feasible and have a reasonable chance of succeeding.
- Funds must be used for eligible purposes such as working capital, fixed assets, real property, equipment, facility expansion, or inventory.
