About this program
The Duluth 1200 Fund Historic Fund supports preservation, improvement, restoration, and rehabilitation of contributing structures in the Duluth Commercial Historic District. Eligible hard costs can improve the exterior and interior appearance of commercial buildings and support commercial upgrades, with larger forgivable loan amounts available for eligible East First Street properties.
Eligibility
Building owners of eligible contributing structures in the Duluth Commercial Historic District may apply for approved preservation, restoration, rehabilitation, or commercial upgrade projects.
Requirements
- Building must be an eligible contributing structure in the Duluth Commercial Historic District.
- Project must involve eligible preservation, restoration, rehabilitation, improvement, or commercial upgrade costs.
- Applicant must provide at least a 10% personal match, which may include eligible soft costs such as planning and consultant deliverables.
