About this program
The Reinvestment Payment Program provides discretionary reinvestment payments for eligible large projects based on South Dakota sales and use taxes paid on project costs. Rapid City companies with major construction or expansion projects may use the program to offset investment costs after approval.
Eligibility
Eligible businesses undertaking qualified new or expanded facility projects meeting South Dakota investment and program requirements.
Requirements
- Apply to South Dakota GOED before project completion
- Provide project scope, eligible costs, tax documentation, timeline, and economic impact information
- Meet approval, performance, and reporting requirements to receive payments
